Terms of Service

Bountied is intended solely for adults aged 18 or older, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction if higher. By accessing this site you confirm you meet that requirement. Access by minors is strictly prohibited.

In these Terms, "Bountied", "we", "us" and "our" mean Varadin Systems Inc.. "You" means any person who accesses or uses the Service, whether as a Contributor or a Creator.

2. What Bountied does — and does not do

Bountied operates a group-funding platform. A Creator publishes a Bounty: a described piece of custom work, a funding goal, and a deadline. Multiple Contributors pledge amounts toward that goal. If the goal is met by the deadline, funds are released to the Creator and the Creator delivers the work. If the goal is not met, all contributions are returned in full.

Important

Bountied does not host, store, transmit, display, or distribute any content. Delivery takes place entirely on the Creator's own platform, directly between the Creator and the Contributor. We never receive, review, or possess the work produced. Our role is limited to facilitating funding and confirming, by Creator attestation, that delivery occurred.

Bountied is not a party to the agreement between a Creator and a Contributor. We are not a publisher, an employer, an agent, or a joint venturer of any Creator. We do not commission work, direct its content, or select performers.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher.
You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.
You must not be located in, or a resident of, a jurisdiction subject to comprehensive sanctions, and must not appear on any applicable sanctions list.
You must not have been previously removed from the Service.
Creators must additionally complete identity and age verification before receiving any payout.

4. Accounts

You are responsible for the security of your account and for all activity under it. Display names are visible to Creators and, where a Bounty is public, to other Contributors. Do not choose a display name that reveals information you are unwilling to share. Notify us immediately at hello@bountied.xyz if you believe your account has been compromised.

5. How a Bounty works

Contributions

When you contribute, the amount is committed to that Bounty and held pending the outcome. Contributions are not general-purpose credit and cannot be moved between Bounties. Where a Bounty offers options, your voting weight is proportional to your contribution amount.

Success

If the goal is reached by the deadline, the Bounty succeeds. Funds are released to the Creator less our fee. The Creator then delivers the described work through their own platform within the stated delivery window.

Failure

If the goal is not reached by the deadline, the Bounty fails and every contribution is returned in full. You are not charged a fee on a failed Bounty. See our Refund Policy.

Cancellation by the Creator

A Creator may cancel a Bounty before it is fully funded. All contributions are returned in full.

6. Fees

Bountied charges Creators a commission of 10% on successfully funded Bounties. Contributors pay the amount they pledge and no separate platform fee. Payment processing fees may apply and will be disclosed before you confirm a contribution. We may change our fees on notice; changes do not affect Bounties already live.

7. Billing descriptor

Card contributions will appear on your statement as BOUNTIED. If you do not recognise a charge, please contact us at hello@bountied.xyz before contacting your bank — we can usually resolve it faster.

8. Creator obligations

By publishing a Bounty you represent and warrant, on a continuing basis, that:

You are at least 18 years old and have completed our identity and age verification.
Every performer appearing in any work delivered through a Bounty is at least 18 years old, has consented to the production and distribution of that work, and has consented to its sale.
You maintain all records required by applicable law for each performer, including where applicable records under 18 U.S.C. § 2257, and you will produce them to us on request.
You hold all rights necessary to produce and deliver the work, and it does not infringe any third party's rights.
The work is lawful in your jurisdiction and complies with Section 9 below.
You will deliver what was described, within the stated window, through your own platform.
Your use of Bountied does not breach the terms of any platform you rely on for delivery.
Any attestation of delivery you provide to us is truthful.

False attestation of delivery is grounds for immediate termination, reversal of payouts, and referral to law enforcement where appropriate.

9. Prohibited content and conduct

The following are strictly prohibited, without exception, and will result in immediate removal, forfeiture of pending payouts, permanent termination, and reporting to law enforcement and relevant authorities where required:

Any depiction of a minor, or of any person appearing to be a minor, in any sexual context. Any content that sexualises minors in any way.
Content produced without the full, informed, documented consent of every person depicted.
Non-consensual content, including content obtained or distributed without consent, "revenge" content, hidden-camera or otherwise surreptitious recordings, and content depicting a person incapable of consenting.
Any content depicting or promoting human trafficking, coercion, or sexual exploitation.
Bestiality, necrophilia, or incest, including simulated or roleplayed depictions of these.
Depictions of rape, non-consensual violence, serious bodily injury, torture, or death.
Content involving illegal drugs, or the sale of any controlled substance, weapon, or other unlawful good.
Content that promotes hatred or violence against any group or individual.
Impersonation of another person, or use of another person's likeness without their consent, including synthetic or AI-generated likenesses.
Escorting, prostitution, or any offer of in-person sexual services.
Any use of the Service to launder money, evade sanctions, or finance unlawful activity.
Funding your own Bounty, whether directly or through a third party, in order to manufacture activity or extract funds.
Use of stolen, unauthorised, or fraudulently obtained payment instruments.

10. Reporting and takedown

We do not host content, but we will act on the funding side. If you believe a Bounty or Creator violates these Terms, contact hello@bountied.xyz. Reports alleging content involving a minor or non-consensual content are treated as urgent, and we will suspend the Bounty and withhold funds pending review.

If you appear in content and did not consent to it, contact us immediately. We will suspend the associated Bounty, withhold any pending payout, and remove the Creator from the Service where the report is substantiated.

11. Contributor obligations

Use only payment instruments you are authorised to use.
Do not attempt to identify, contact, harass, or locate a Creator outside the Service.
Do not redistribute work delivered to you. You receive a personal, non-transferable licence to view it; you acquire no ownership or distribution rights.

12. Intellectual property

Creators retain all rights in the work they produce. Contributing to a Bounty does not transfer copyright and does not grant any right to reproduce, publish, or resell the work. The Bountied name, marks, and site are owned by Varadin Systems Inc..

13. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access at any time for breach of these Terms, suspected fraud, or where required by law, a payment provider, or a card network. You may close your account at any time; obligations arising before closure survive. On termination, funds committed to live Bounties are returned to Contributors.

14. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

We make no warranty regarding the quality, legality, timeliness, or delivery of any work produced by a Creator. That is a matter between the Creator and the Contributor. We do not review, endorse, or verify any work.

15. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Varadin Systems Inc. and its directors, officers, and agents will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the total fees we received from you in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) CAD $100.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including under Alberta consumer protection legislation.

16. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Varadin Systems Inc. from any claim, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your breach of these Terms, your violation of any law, or — for Creators — any work you produce or deliver.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable there. The courts of Alberta have exclusive jurisdiction, and you consent to venue in Calgary, Alberta. Before commencing proceedings, you agree to contact us at hello@bountied.xyz and attempt to resolve the matter informally for at least 30 days.

18. Changes

We may amend these Terms. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date and, where we hold your email address, notified to you. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. Bounties already live are governed by the Terms in force when they launched.

19. General

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign your rights under these Terms; we may assign ours in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, are the entire agreement between us.
